Urquharts Opticians (Kilmarnock)

Urquhart Opticians, established in 1916, is owned by Alistair Duff and Peter Telfer who having bought the business in 2015 have grown it from 3 Ayrshire Practices to 5. School friends, Alistair always wanted to be an Optician and Peter always wanted to have his own business, so when the opportunity came it was the perfect partnership. An Award-Winning business, Urquharts values old fashioned customer service, excellent clinical care, and a personal touch accompanying it all.

At Urquharts, their mission is to make a difference to people's lives by helping them to see more clearly. To create meaningful relationships with clients, to remain proudly independent and to show responsibility to their team, clients and community. They focus on expert clinical care, having invested in the most innovative technology in recent years, to be able to give the very best care to patients. Urquharts provide a Premium Eye Exam which includes a longer appointment with you chosen Optician and 3D imagery of the layers of the back of the eye - which gives more information about not only eye health but overall health as well. Urquharts pride themselves on bringing beautiful eyewear to Ayrshire, including handmade frames from Independent brands. They have a large selection of frames from well known designer brands like Gucci, Tom Ford and Oakley, to handmade collections by Silhouette, Face a Face Paris and Andy Wolf. Urquhart Opticians also provide many private services including Contact lenses, Glaucoma Management, a Macular Management Clinic and a new Visual Stress Clinic. You can make an appointment online through their website and visit their online shop.
