One of the most frequent requests is for the development of an Ayrshire wide events calendar that every business can update and add their own events.
We have decided to utilise The List for this - they are a Scottish company and if you add your events into the List not only will they feature on Ayrshire Connect they will also feature on VisitScotland and an increasing number of third party sites that pull their events database.
All events on Ayrshire Connect will be searchable by location, type of events, date and more - the new events page is scheduled to go live by the end of May in time for the return of visitors to Ayrshire.
The listing below is only a temporary function until the development work is completed but any business hosting events should really get them onto The List - it's free and honestly you cannot rely on Facebook for all your events promotion!
In addition to the events drawn from The List database businesses with entries on the site can submit their own Facebook events to be featured in the Ayrshire Connect Facebook Page. Visit the Facebook page and submit a PM with a link to your event.Events from The List
We have tried to make this website as accessible as possible and easy to use for everyone, regardless of circumstance or ability.
All our page templates comply with the WCAG Priority 2 checkpoints as a minimum requirement. And we make every effort to ensure that all the content on our site meets this standard too. We are making every effort to ensure that we don't exclude any users. For example:
We try to publish all our text content as accessible HTML rather than in other formats such as PDF. Where we do publish PDFs or other formats our policy is to make them as accessible as we can.
