Ayrshire Connect

See & Do West Kilbride

Ayrshire is known across the world for many things - golf, Robert Burns and Johnnie Walker whisky may be the three most mentioned but there is a plethora of things to do in and around Ayrshire.

The Ayrshire coastline measures from 84 miles north to south (and exactly the same the other way round strangely) and offers via that blend of sea and land some of the finest activities in Scotland.

Links golf is by definition courses by the sea and Ayrshire is blessed with them including three Open Championship venues. There are marinas, harbours and ports along the length of the coastline and new walking and cycling routes are being developed every year.

The towns and villages of Ayrshire, whether coast or country, are blessed with marvellous heritage sites and wonderful castles and parks and walks each with their own character and family friendly facilities.

Ayrshire also boasts a calendar full of events from theatres and festival to major sporting events and cultural celebrations - there is genuinely always something going on in the county.

Whether you're looking to be active or simply enjoy a relaxing walk you will find it in Ayrshire. Please explore just some of the things on offer locally for you to see and do.
