Uisge Source

Uisge Source is a craft producer of bottled drinking water sourced from remote locations in Scotland. The company bottles water from its own sources as well as for several Scotch Whisky companies and a well known whisky society. The business also offers the unique capability of bottling into glass miniatures for adding to whisky. Its products are also available in gift packs and whisky tasting sets in more than 20 countries.

Most spirits are enjoyed with a mixer and for many, whisky is no exception. Whisky has a wonderful complexity of aromas and flavours which is why experts recommend adding a dash of pure spring water to open it up. Adding water removed the alcohol prickle and releases more aromas and flavours for greater appreciation. Experts also recommend adding water from the same source as the whisky, or water with the same chemistry. Uisge Source waters come from specially selected private springs close to the leading distilleries in the Scottish Whisky regions. The chemistry of Uisge Source waters matches the chemistry of the waters used in whisky distillation in each region to make the ideal complement for your dram. Hard spring water from the HIghland Whisky region - high in minerals, filtered through red sandstone, from St Colmans's Well in Ross-Shire. Higher natural acidity spring water, filtered through pear, from the Ardilistry Spring on Islay. Soft spring water from the Speyside Whisky region, low in minerals is filtered through granite from The Cairngorms Well in Moray. Uisge Source - The Drop that Makes the Dram
