Ayrshire Connect

The Calm Chameleon

The Calm Chameleon offers specialised support for children who are experiencing Emotional, Social or Behavioural difficulties. We have purpose built studio in Ayrshire but can cover other areas via outreach support

The Calm Chameleon is a high-quality specialist support service for children and families who are experiencing a wide range of social, emotional, behavioural and mental health challenges. We are highly skilled and have extensive experience in supporting children and young people who have endured trauma in their lives. We understand the huge impact this has on children's emotional health and well-being. We recognise this has a knock-on effect upon family, school and wider social networks. We understand that when working with children, one size does not fit all. That's why we provide an individual assessment and offer both cognitive and somatic (body based) support, dependent on needs. We are not a diagnostic service, which means that there are no barriers to our service. We do not see the value in giving children a label and do not feel they should need one to access support. Please contact us for a free initial discussion to see how we can support you and your family. We can support children aged 7 " 17 with : Low mood Low self-esteem Behavioural difficulties PTSD Anxiety Relational difficulties Exam stress Impulsivity Self-harm Difficulties with peers Panic disorder Trauma Loss & bereavement Separation anxiety
