Ayrshire Connect

Shire Housing Association Ltd

Shire Housing Association is a Registered Social Landlord providing high quality housing across East Ayrshire. Shire's Business Vision of "Great Homes, Great People, Vibrant Communities" means that they are more than just a landlord and act as a Community Anchor in the areas they operate. The main office is in Cumnock.

Shire Housing Association has 964 properties across 16 communities in East Ayrshire and provide factoring services to more than 900 owners. Shire is more than just a landlord. Every tenant has a dedicated Customer Service Officer to assist them in maintaining their tenancy. We help tenants access welfare benefits through our financial inclusion service. We are very proud of our role as a community anchor, helping sustain communities whilst working with partners. This has been especially important during the Covid 19 pandemic where we have accessed £100,000 in grants for our communities. Shire also provides the East Ayrshire Care and Repair service. Here elderly and disabled homeowners can access small repairs to help keep them safe at home.
