Robert Burns Birthplace Museum

Robert Burns Birthplace Museum offers a truly unique encounter with Scotland's National Poet.

Set in the beautiful village of Alloway, the museum compries the iconic cottage where the poet was born, historic landmarks such as Alloway Auld Kirk and Brig o' Doon where Burns set his greatest work, Tam o' Shanter, an elegant monument and gardens created in his honour, a modern state-of-the-art museum housing the world's most important artefacts illustrating Burn's life and works.

Visitors can relax in the museum cafe and enjoy traditional Scottish cuisine, browse for high quality gifts in our two shops, or simply enjoy a walk along the 'bonnie banks o' Doon'.

For groups, why not enjoy our Burns supper express? Celebrate Burns with a 2-course express Burns Supper, including a welcome from a member of the Burns family, bagpipes, the recital of 'Address to a Haggis', a guided tour of Burns Cottage and a toast to the Bard in the very room he was born in 1759...all in the space of one hour.
