Ayrshire Connect

Open Studios Ayrshire

Open Studios Ayrshire was founded in 2012 by a small group of local artists. Our aim is to raise the profile of artists and makers across Ayrshire whilst providing them sustainable marketing opportunities, allowing them to support each other and share their passions and ideas. Our yearly Open Studios Weekend gives the public the chance to see the creative processes of the participating artists & makers along with an opportunity to purchase or commission original artwork or craftwork.

From our inception in 2012 and now going into our ninth year, Open Studios Ayrshire (OSA) has aimed to raise the profile of artists and makers across Ayrshire whilst providing them with sustainable marketing opportunities and allowing them to support each other and share their passions and ideas. We have been carefully planning to ensure that this year's event can go ahead in the safest possible way whilst still bringing you the event that you all love! Our open studios event has always been held over the last weekend in April but in light of the ongoing pandemic, we have opted to hold our event later this year. As ever we have a diverse range of artists and makers from a number of disciplines who take pleasure sharing their work with visitors. You will be able to find out how artists work, ask questions, buy work, commission unique pieces and in some cases arrange a private workshop. The dates for this year's event are: 10"13 September 2021 We are hopeful that some artists will be able to open up their home studios but we are ensuring that we will have group venues to allow for social distancing if necessary. In addition to our main event we will also be having a virtual exhibition hosted by Harbour Arts Centre from the 19th April - 5th May.
