Galleon Centre

The Galleon Centre opened its doors to the public in May 1987 and since then has been providing a variety of leisure and recreational activities for the people of Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire and beyond.

The facilities available in the centre include: Ice Rink " used extensively for Curling, Ice Hockey (Kilmarnock Junior Ice Hockey Club and also the senior club Kilmarnock Storm), Figure Skating, recreational skating and Ice Discos. Swimming Pool " Providing a comprehensive Swimming Lesson programme, Private Swimming Lessons, Kilmarnock Amateur Swimming Club, Kilmarnock Jets (this club fosters & develops sports & recreational activities for children, teenagers and adults with special needs), laned swimming for adults, Fun Swims or just a relaxing swim. Games Hall " Available for 5-A-Sides, Badminton, Basketball, Table Tennis, Kids Activities and more. Aerobics Studio " A wide range of classes are available each week including Body Pump, Body Combat, Body Attack, Body Balance, Zumba, Box-A-Cise, Spinning as well as the more traditional classes like Aerobics and Step. Fitness Room " More than 80 stations area available in this fully air conditioned gym. Qualified instructors will make you feel welcome and relaxed and help you on the way to achieving your fitness goals. Bowling Hall " Six bowling rinks available for both competitive and casual games. Home to Galleon Indoor Bowling Club, who also have a Youth Club that meets every Saturday morning. In addition, the Galleon Centre has Squash Courts, Sauna/Steam Room, Crèche, Function Room and Café/Bar.
