Eglinton Country Park

Eglinton Country Park and District gives you the space and freedom to enjoy a wide range of pursuits - tranquil country walks, play and picnic areas, cycling, horse riding, fishing on the lochside or simply watching the wildlife world go by. There is also a full programme of exciting organized events run by our Countryside Rangers right through the year.

Eglinton Country Park is situated within the historic boroughs of Kilwinning and Irvine and was developed around the ancient Eglinton Estate, home for 600 years to the Earls of Eglinton and Winton. Whatever the season, there are a range of activities to enjoy the beauty of the tranquil area; walking, horse riding, fishing on the lochside or simply watching the world go by. A programme of events, such as guided walks, are organized for throughout the year by the countryside rangers. Located within the visitor centre is an interpretative display on the history of Eglinton Country Park where you will also find advice and information from friendly staff who hold lots of local knowledge.
